Founder & Managing Attorney

Salomón Zavala grew up in South Central Los Angeles, son of Mexican parents. He graduated with honors from Amherst College in 2001 and earned his JD from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2005.

His practice today focuses on immigration: family cases, humanitarian protection and removal defense. That work builds on his earlier background in civil rights and personal injury, where he obtained seven-figure settlements for victims of police abuse and negligence, and on his pro bono work in wrongful conviction cases, minor asylum and indigenous peoples' rights.
