Salomón Zavala, Esq.

Salomón Zavala is the founder and Managing Attorney of Zavala Law Group. He has represented diverse clients by providing strategic legal counsel, and is a skilled and experienced negotiator who draws on his broad range of resources to achieve the most positive outcomes. Zavala listens carefully to his clients' goals and develops a comprehensive legal strategy with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

He has handled a variety of matters, including civil rights cases and serious personal injury matters very successfully. He has delivered great results and seven-figure settlements for his clients across California, including victims of police abuse and wrongful death claims.

He has also successfully represented a variety of organizations on a wide range of legal matters, including complex employment and immigration issues. He currently serves as General Counsel for several small businesses and nonprofits, where he handles day-to-day legal matters, including managing attorneys on complex civil litigation and transactional matters.

Having worked for a large firm, Zavala is familiar with complex commercial civil litigation matters and has represented clients at depositions, mediations and various court hearings. In addition, he has provided several organizational clients with legal compliance trainings and serves as Executive Director of an innovative criminal justice reform organization. Zavala is also very active in ZLG's pro bono program, including representing minors in asylum proceedings, wrongful conviction cases and indigenous peoples' rights defense.

Zavala attended Amherst College, where he received his bachelor's degree with honors in 2001, and graduated from UC Berkeley School of Law, where he earned his law degree in 2005. Zavala grew up in South Central Los Angeles, California and is the son of Mexican parents. He is bilingual in Spanish and English and represents and serves on the board of directors of several community-based nonprofit organizations, including an indigenous community development organization in East Los Angeles and a victim/survivor advocacy organization in Watts, California.
