The people behind every case

Claudia Ortega Munguía

IMMIGRATION PARALEGAL

I have experience in family law and criminal law, along with a focus on U.S. immigration and U.S. family law. Throughout my career, I have been especially drawn to U.S. immigration law because of its profound human impact. Behind every case is a person, a family, and a story of resilience, hope, and the pursuit of a better future. Supporting individuals during some of the most important moments of their lives is what inspires me most about this field.

Currently, I am an Immigration Paralegal at Zavala Law Group, where I assist our clients with case management, document preparation, client communication, court proceedings, and legal filings. I am committed to combining legal knowledge and compassion to help clients navigate their legal processes confidently while ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.

Walter Castillo

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

I'm Walter Castillo, a native of Managua, Nicaragua. I started in immigration five years ago as a remote intake specialist, and that experience gave me a deep appreciation for the stories and struggles our clients bring with them, which is a big part of why I care so much about this work. I recently moved into the role of Executive Assistant at Zavala Law Group, where I support the team's administrative operations, workflows, and client case management. I'm fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and I'm currently learning German in my spare time. Outside of work, I'm big on good food and staying active. You'll usually find me either trying a new dish or trying to get in shape.
